Joan Steffend Brandmeier on Living Unapologetically and Finding Beauty in Everyday Moments

Joan was born.

She followed all the rules.

Joan lost herself.

She rebelled in a very Joan way.

She found herself (mostly).

Joan has loved a good story as long as she can remember.

You can see it in how she’s lived her life - first telling stories from the theater stage, then reporting on people’s lives as an anchor/reporter for KARE-TV in the Twin Cities (where she won a national Emmy-award). Her next act was helping redesign people’s stories as the host of HGTV’s “Decorating Cents” and a variety of national specials. She eventually wrote her own, authoring two books (“…and she sparkled” and “peace in, peace out”), with Tristan Publishing.

She remains a student of life, perpetually standing at the intersection of wisdom and kindness, wondering and ready to write her next story. Learn More.
