Mich Berthiaume: How Mentorship Turns Memories into a Living Legacy

Recognized by Twin Cities Business Magazine as one of its 100 People to Know, Mich Berthiaume is the founder of Mich’s Markets and a leading expert in Minnesota-born brands. For more than 30 years, she has built a reputation for curating distinctive local retail experiences, elevating regional makers, and connecting brands with high-profile audiences.

Mich’s work spans major destinations, events, partnerships, and retail launches, including Mall of America, the Super Bowl, the Dayton’s Markets and reintroduction of Santabear, the Minnesota Twins Gate 34 Experience, a U.S. Bank partnership supporting BIPOC brands, Four Seasons Hotel, Viking Lakes, Minnesota Sports and Events, Southdale Center, the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, and marketplace activations and retail store openings across the United States.

She has also developed and positioned products for major retailers and manufacturers, including Faribault Mill and Ecolab.

Outside of her professional work, Mich is a dedicated supporter of Minnesota sports and enjoys traveling, walking, mentoring local makers, and spending time with her two daughters, four granddaughters, and friends.
